Gina Calderoni
GINA CALDERONI
With a degree from the University of Texas in TV/Music production, Gina co-founded San Antonio's first online college radio station, KUIW.ORG.
It was at this station where she met actual DJ's and got behind the decks herself for the first time.
Due to Gina's increasing popularity and skills as a DJ, she quickly became the "go to" DJ for the biggest clubs all over Texas, such as Metropolis, Bliss and Planeta Bar-rio. She also became a resident DJ at Revolution Room and Karma Lounge, which allowed her to open up for very big acts such as BT, Roger Sanchez, Groove Junkies and Tiësto.
It wasn't long before she and everyone knew, she needed to move to LA and take on a new scene. After her college graduation, she packed her bags and headed to the big city.
Since moving to LA, she's already made her mark in Hollywood. She's played for exclusive Music Label parties, countless hot spots all over LA, Including celebritybeach parties in Santa Monica, a Reggeton music video shoot, the Spike TV awards show, and landed a weekly residency every Friday night at one of the most popular clubs in the very coveted heart of Hollywood, Burgundy Room.
Recently Gina was invited back to Texas to play at South by Southwest in Austin this past spring. She has also played at Burningman on the Philadelphia ExperimentStage, Camp Monkey Nutz, and the Disorient Stage at Decompression LA. Recently, she has played Chicks with Decks, and founded "Nightcap" online radio show which showcases interviews, and dj mixes from many electronic genres. Her personal favorite accomplishment so far is being asked to play for DJ Tiësto's 8 hour long album photo shoot. Tiësto himself declared for everyone to "watch out for this girl, she's gonna be really big in a couple of years".
Gina's style ranges in minimal, techno, electro, house and dubstep.
